Meet Lisa Passi

For more than three decades, I've seen firsthand what happens when leaders understand this—and what happens when they don't.
People aren't just part of the strategy; people are the strategy.
why peoplepower Exists
The work of my life.
I believe people are an organization's greatest source of power and potential. I've seen what happens when exceptional leaders unlock that potential, creating environments where people thrive, innovation flourishes, and organizations perform at their best.
Late in my career, I experienced the opposite.
Working for a bully boss taught me something no statistic ever could: how deeply ineffective leadership can affect a person's engagement, energy, performance, and ability to bring their best self to work. It also showed me the cost to the organization when talented people are prevented from reaching their potential.
That experience became my purpose: to help leaders become exceptional, so fewer people ever have to work for a bad one.
When leaders create environments where people feel valued, respected, empowered, and inspired to bring their best to work, something extraordinary happens. Performance improves. Innovation accelerates. Talent flourishes.
I call that PeoplePower.
And helping leaders create it is my life work.

three decades of unlocking teams
I don't write about leadership from theory.
As an Organizational Development practitioner, I've spent more than three decades working with thousands of professionals—from emerging leaders to C-suite executives—across technology, financial services, healthcare, automotive, real estate, and consumer products.
I've coached leaders, facilitated teams, shaped organizational cultures, and witnessed firsthand what enables people to perform at their best.
As former President of Drew Pearson International, a global licensed consumer products enterprise, I also experienced leadership from the other side of the table—leading an organization, making decisions, and being accountable for results.
What did I learn?
Leadership transcends industry.
Organizations may differ in products, markets, and business models, but put people together and remarkably similar dynamics emerge. Trust. Accountability. Communication. Culture. Motivation. Conflict. Collaboration. The leaders who understand these dynamics—and know how to unlock the people behind them—are the ones who create exceptional teams and exceptional results.

What i believe about leadership
The principals behind PeoplePower
Exceptional leadership isn't one thing; it's the combination of the choices a leader makes every day that creates an environment where people can thrive.
I believe:
Compassion is a strength.
Great leaders understand that how people feel at work matters. Compassion builds connection, strengthens relationships, and creates the trust people need to do their best work.
Trust is essential.
People perform differently when they feel trusted—and when they know they can trust their leader.
Communication is everything.
Clear, honest, consistent communication creates alignment, builds confidence, and gives people what they need to succeed.
Accountability and care belong together.
Exceptional leaders don't choose between high standards and high care. They create an environment where both exist—and where people are challenged to grow while knowing they are supported.
Culture is created by leadership.
The environment a leader creates can determine whether people bring their best to work, simply get through the day, or struggle to show up at all.
When these principles come together, something powerful happens: PeoplePower is unlocked.

Beyond the work
The person behind the work.
I'm an avid traveler with more than four million air miles—and I've learned that some of the best education happens far beyond the boardroom.
Travel has given me the opportunity to experience different cultures, meet fascinating people, see the world through different perspectives, and continually feed my curiosity. Those experiences inspire much of how I think, write, and see the world.
When I'm not writing, speaking, or advising leaders, you'll find me on the water, exploring somewhere new, or enjoying time with family and friends.
I'm also the author of The Deal, a business-intrigue novel inspired by my professional experiences. It may seem very different from my work in leadership, but there's a common thread: storytelling.
I'm a storyteller at heart. Whether I'm writing fiction or talking about leadership, storytelling is how I connect ideas, make them memorable, and bring them to life - because every great lesson starts with a story.

Not just an idea. a practice.
